• WELCOME TO THE NEW GSFR WEBSITE :)

We are an action-driven global alliance comprising NGOs, activists, scientists, and individuals who share a common vision: oceans free from open-net salmon farms allowing depleted marine ecosystems to thrive once again.

Who we are

We are an action-driven global alliance comprising NGOs, activists, scientists, and individuals who share a common vision: oceans free from open-net salmon farms allowing depleted marine ecosystems to thrive once again.

How we do it

  • We have streamlined the grant making process to give members quick access to funds for urgent campaigns.

  • Because our network is global, we provide an international platform allowing members to amplify the impact for each campaign, no matter how local.

  • GSFR’s international membership and collaboration ensures consistent messaging and heightened global awareness of the environmental and economic impacts of salmon farming.

  • Information and knowledge are powerful tools that can help GSFR members with stronger arguments and new strategies against the salmon industry.

“Resistance Movements are generated by people who refuse to accept the world as they find it and who are willing to take personal risk to make it better.”
